Akademi Alpint AB was established – as a cooperation between the Ski Associations of Stockholm, Uppland, Sörmland and Västmanland – in order to meet the demands from the region´s junior skiers regarding high quality training on, as well as off, snow. In association with Täby kommun, Akademi Alpint runs Stockholms skidgymnasium, and operates as well – with Uppsalaidrotten – Uppsala skidgymnasium. Akademi Alpint also runs the Gesundaberget Training Camp in cooperation with Gesundaberget. Following the methods and goals of Akademi Alpint, a physical training and test center is under development in Frösundavik – in close cooperation with Sturebadet Haga. Also, Akademi Alpint has a central post in Event Resort Ullna where the company is the proposed operator and manager of the indoor downhill ski run and the cross country ski tunnel.
